This is the thing about research papers: if I start on them early enough, like days before they are due, I'm good to go. I won't get tired of them, while I'm writing I'll stay focused, all good.

On the other hand, if I start them on the night before/hours before they are due, I am guaranteed to hate the topic even if I picked it, find one million things that could be more worth my while than writing it, and spend half of the time I have left to work on it surfing the web and watching Wes Anderson trailers... I mean, let's be real: is there anything under the sun that looks more desirable than The Grand Budapest Hotel? I submit: No.
