eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

today is my "ONE DAY LEFT AFTER TODAY" day. which means it is a day of non-essentials that are somehow essential in my brain (minus saying goodbye to the people i am saying goodbye to. you are all essential).

the biggest item of business: possibly buying vans. because i have never left the country without a trusty pair of vans and i am suddenly very worried that without them my upcoming venture will be somehow marred. do i need another pair of shoes? not really. i have my pair of work shoes, a pair of sneakers, and a pair of sunday flats. if i brought vans, i would not bring the sneakers. do i need to spend money on vans? of course not. BUT HOW CAN I BREAK MY STREAK??? all three pairs of vans i have ever owned have left the country once. but two of those pairs are somewhere in garbageland, usa and one is in storage. i know i love vans. but i'm also on a budget. but if i ate light this month there could be wiggle room. but do i really want to chance that? BAH.

as you see, it is a big deal.

so, this afternoon i will go to the mall and finish the debate. if i do end up buying shoes, i will let you all know so that none of us lose sleep over the issue.

in other news, i now know that six pages of scrapbook paper can make eight small valentines with envelopes. i also know that i will never, ever be investing in reese's christmas bells again. biggest waste of calories ever. i found five quarters in my wallet, which was really exciting this afternoon. and i am worried that i am going to have separation anxiety over a humidifier because the humidifier that my aunt bought yesterday is literally my new favorite thing on earth. so soothing. also it makes my room smell like home. thank you, tyler, texas, for constantly keeping humidity at 100%.

here's the next five days' weather forecast for grasmere:

see you on friday, you perfect lake country you.
