So, my sucktastic weekend let up tonight.
1) Texas won. I don't care if it was close. I don't care that BYU did good. Texas won.
2) Mark, my younger brother that everyone thinks is older, that is smarter, that is better at life in general, wanted to hang out with me. We went out to eat, and he let me pick (Zupa's, AKA the best place to eat in Provo. But it doesn't have burgers, and Mark wanted a burger, but he let us go there anyways). And then when we went to the Dollar (AKA Janky) Theater, he let me pick the movie (Super 8, which was SO FREAKING GOOD, even though he wanted to see Green Lantern) and then he bought me candy, but not just any candy. It was off the top (most expensive) shelf. Pretzel M&M's, nerds. And then while we were waiting to get our seats, he let me wear his flat-bill Texas hat. He never lets me wear his hats.
He may or may not have been nice to me because my mom told him that I hit a car today, but he definitely was the nicest thing that happened to me all weekend. It was like when we were kids, and I'd beg him to play Star Wars and Princesses (since I mainly had various Princess Leia action figures, the princess to weapon-carrier proportion suggested a name besides just "Star Wars"), and he'd usually just want to play with all the cool figures and ships by himself--I can't blame him--but sometimes, he'd let me play. He'd let everyone get married in the end. And he'd let me have Boba Fett's ship. And I'd think I was the luckiest sister in the world. And now we're in college, and I know I am the luckiest sister in the world.
And I know he probably will never see this. But I hope the rest of the world (that's you, my 16 followers) knows how cool my brother Mark is. If my family was the United States of America, he'd be Texas.... Hook 'em.
