Tonight, I went to watch one of my roommate's (A) dance final with two of my other roommates (B and C). As we were exiting the gym, two boys (D and E) were walking on the side walk that work with C. The three of them chatted while B and me looked at the parking lot. Then the boys asked us our names. Apparently they had met B before, because they both started off with me saying, "Now I haven't met you yet..."
Anyways, D shook my hand while we said names. We stopped, and he said "Wait can I shake your hand again? It was really warm." So we shook hands again. That is the most/longest physical contact I have gotten from a boy since everyone gave each other goodbye hugs at the end of summer vacation after high school graduation.
Then, E and I shook hands, and he said, "Madi short for Madison with brown eyes and blonde hair. That's the best combination." That is the nicest thing a boy has said to me in a pretty long time.
In both of those cases, boy means: someone that is within 10 years of my age, that is not related to me, that is not a girl.
I am 80% positive I will never see either of them again. But according to recent stats, their input of boy contact and niceness will probably last me for another 3-4 years. And I'll probably keep smiling all night.
this made my heart so happy!
