like a river flows so surely to the sea

First Day of Fall.

Praises. Praises. Praises.

Yesterday, I lamented Summer Saturdays. Partly (definitely) because my Summer Satrudays were spent in Scotland, and Texas before that, and then there was that one Saturday on the river... I had some good Summer Saturdays. Saturdays now are full of knowing that I should be doing homework, and traffic, and worrying that there will not be enough time to do everything I need to do in the next week.

But today, I went up to Bridal Veil Falls with a very attentive friend, who picked out red leaves with me and found caterpillars and showed me some good views. And there was a nice breeze. And we talked about how life is good. We also told ghost stories, which was kind of weird in the middle of a sunny day, but it is quintessentially autumny.

Anyways. I decided I am not sad that there are no more Summer Saturdays. Fall Saturdays, and Sundays, are just fine.

Can I also just say, especially since I know you sometimes check this blog Aunt Steph, that I have the best family on earth? There is no place as safe and sound as the place where you are surrounded by people (and puppies) that you love, and that love you too. And I am blessed to have that here. It is and always will be the first and biggest thing that I miss.

In closing, an image of a ghost caught on tape:
