hanging out with some of my favorite high school dorks, and reminiscing about the orchestra trip to branson (which made me miss senior prom) and driving through tornados, attending dolly parton's version of medieval times, and russell's wedding at a gas station.
hanging out with two of the first beebs i ever beebeesat, doing cool things like going to the science place and discovering christmas photo opps and having competitions to see who takes care of beebees (a bottle of liquid starch and a box of kleenex) the best.
hanging out with this timeless beauty. karlie kloss? no. princess kate? no, no. only my bestiest fif grade friend, the first person i ever ate real cookies for breakfast with, and my first friend to ever go to graduate school in boston. we make art sometimes.
collages, this time. elementary school classic.
and last but not least, tucking in/getting tucked in by my ma (depending on who gets in bed first).
last night i tucked her in, and while my dad was researching how dogs kill snakes in their backyard, my mom and i were having a spirited discussion about how bad i am at my online class and how i am going to have to stop hanging out so much and actually finish it or i am not going to be a bachelor ever. and then when i was getting depressed because it was looking like i was a failure at life for not finishing the class a year ago when i was supposed to, ma drew this smiley face on my knee (with the pen she was writing in her journal with) and said "look, it's happy to see you!" and then she laughed. i love that ma.
so basically, despite working half-heartedly on my online class and dealing with the emotional roller-coaster that was king juan carlos' abdication, life is buena.
